Powering Builders: Get to know PGA’s first cohort
At Pocket Network, we’re committed to supporting the next generation of innovators. That’s why we launched the Pocket Network Accelerator Program—a highly competitive initiative designed to help promising teams scale their projects with decentralized infrastructure.
From hundreds of applications, only six teams were selected for our first cohort! Each team is receiving $25,000 in funding alongside mentorship, technical support, and access to our ecosystem to fuel their growth.
In this series, we’ll introduce each of the participating teams, sharing their vision, challenges, and how they’re leveraging Pocket Network to push the boundaries of the new internet.
First up: Pattern! 🚀

How did your team come together?
Sep and Mehrdad, have been working together since 2017. Our collaboration began with the founding of Neolyze, a successful social media analysis and digital marketing BI startup that served top brands until 2020. After that, we each pursued individual paths in Web3—Sep as a senior software engineer at Aragon and Mehrdad as the chief technology officer of a centralized exchange based in South Africa.
In 2023, we formed Microflow, a decentralized, multidisciplinary team of 12 focused on Web3 automation. Through Microflow, we contributed to numerous projects, including RnDAO, TogetherCrew, Ergo Chain, HummingBot, and the Pocket Network.
At the beginning of Q4 2024, we came up with the idea of Agentic RAG and rebranded to Pattern, shifting our focus from being a dev shop to building our own product.
Describe your project in one sentence.
Pattern is a network of Agentic RAG-powered information providers.
What problem is your project solving? How did you identify this as something you wanted to solve?
Accessibility remains a major challenge in the blockchain industry. Blockchain data is highly fragmented, and obtaining accurate insights requires integrating multiple sources. Our AI Agent serves as a one-stop solution for dynamically querying blockchain information, delivering aggregated and interpreted data. This significantly enhances the user experience for crypto consumers.
Furthermore, with AI Agents rapidly emerging as a key trend in the crypto space, there is a clear market gap for an AI Agent dedicated to providing structured information to other AI Agents. Developers struggle to integrate with numerous data sources efficiently, creating a strong demand for a streamlined solution.
We identified this challenge when we set out to develop our own AI Agent and were forced to integrate with multiple sources. Moreover, existing Web3 AI solutions do not provide interpreted information from the blockchain; instead, they simply guide users on where to find the answer rather than delivering the answer itself.
What is your long-term vision for the project?
Pattern’s vision is to develop a framework—and eventually, a network—of AI-powered data provider Agents, enabling communities to build their own Agentic Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems and monetize them.
What inspired you to build on Pocket Network?
Through our contributions to the Pocket Network, we became deeply familiar with its vision and technology. The idea of open, unstoppable data strongly resonated with us. As firm believers in decentralization and equal opportunities for all, we are passionate about contributing to this mission.
What stage is your project currently in (idea, prototype, MVP, production)?
We are expanding our prototype to reach the MVP stage.
What is your biggest growth milestone for the next six months?
We plan to have at least 10 community Agentic RAGs and 10 AI agent builder teams integrating with our solution.
How will success be measured at the end of this accelerator program?
From our perspective, success means establishing Pocket’s Agentic RAG and fostering collaboration with other developers. The goal is for them to integrate this Agentic RAG as a trusted data source to enhance the contextual understanding of their AI agents.
How does your project leverage Pocket Network’s infrastructure?
Pattern Agents require blockchain information to deliver interpreted context to users. In this phase, we plan to develop an Agentic RAG Gateway that allows users to dynamically query blockchain data
What are your biggest technical challenges right now?
We are refining our knowledge sources for each query function call to improve data aggregation. Simultaneously, we are optimizing the system to enhance its speed, as the current performance is slower than expected.
What existing competitors or alternatives exist in your space?
There are no direct web3 competitors at the moment. Current Crypto AI Agent solutions focus on AI OS frameworks—such as ElizaOS and Virtuals—for creating, managing, and deploying AI agents, or they function as AI transaction builders like Nebula. However, in the Web2 market, we do have competitors, such as Unstructured.io and Ragie.ai, which provide RAG as a service.
How does your project differentiate itself from competitors?
Pattern stands out from other Web2 solutions by shifting towards Agentic RAG as a service, where AI actively refines and improves its responses rather than just retrieving information. Unlike competitors, Pattern is open-source and includes an incentive model, encouraging the community to build more AI assistants and integrate additional data sources. This approach creates a growing, shared knowledge network, making the system stronger over time through collective contributions.

If funding/manpower was a non factor, what features would you like to add to your
project?
-Deploy our incentive system from day one so anyone can build their own Agentic RAG and monetize it.
-Make a network of interconnected Agentic RAGs that serve interpreted information from both web2 and web3 data sources
-Enable AI Agents that can trigger action to join our network pay for the context information and get paid for triggering actions, for example transaction builder agents or influencer agents.
If your team had to be represented by a fictional character, who would it be and
why?
The Architect (The Matrix) 🏛
-The Architect designed and maintains the Matrix, a system that retrieves, augments, and generates information dynamically.
-He is agentic, meaning he proactively adjusts the system and adapts it based on incoming data.
-Like an advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) model, the Matrix blends pre-existing data with real time inputs to control information flow.
