Powering Builders: Get to know PGA’s first cohort
At Pocket Network, we’re committed to supporting the next generation of innovators. That’s why we launched the Pocket Network Accelerator Program—a highly competitive initiative designed to help promising teams scale their projects with decentralized infrastructure.
From hundreds of applications, only six teams were selected for our first cohort! Each team is receiving $25,000 in funding alongside mentorship, technical support, and access to our ecosystem to fuel their growth.
In this series, we’ll introduce each of the participating teams, sharing their vision, challenges, and how they’re leveraging Pocket Network to push the boundaries of the new internet.
Next up: Verve! 🚀
Who are the core members of your team, and what are their roles?
Sai, Cofounder & Lead Data & ML
Priyaj, Cofounder & Head of Infra
How did your team come together?
We’ve known each other for more than a decade as friends, and worked on various data projects, contracts together for the last 5 years. Priyaj introduced me to the world of crypto in 2016, hence he was the first person I approached when I decided to build Verve.
What problem is your project solving? How did you identify this as something you wanted to solve?
Verve AI solves the critical problem of information overload in blockchain data analysis. Professional traders and financial institutions struggle to extract meaningful insights from the massive volume of cross-chain data, often missing trading opportunities due to fragmented and complex data sources.
I identified this problem through my half a decade of experience in data science and fintech, where I consistently saw that users were drowning in data but starving for actionable insights.
Through community research across Twitter, Discord, and Reddit, plus direct conversations with crypto analysts, I uncovered a critical pain point: analysts spend hours manually piecing together blockchain data across multiple chains, often missing crucial market movements in the process.
This inefficiency, coupled with the lack of centralized documentation in the crypto ecosystem, highlighted the need for a solution that could instantly transform raw blockchain data into actionable intelligence through simple conversations.
What is your long-term vision for the project?
We’d like our users to be able to deploy their own 24/7 research agents on blockchains in the upcoming future that are specifically trained to their respective needs and methods to evaluate potential opportunities.
What inspired you to build on Pocket Network?
I came across PN in 2022, through POKTPOOL, which is a staking service for POKT. I’ve been a part of the POCKET discord since then and occasionally been in a few calls to understand the landscape.
I chose to build on Pocket Network because I believe in the fundamental principle of decentralized RPC access. Using a decentralized network to retrieve blockchain data aligns perfectly with DeFi’s core philosophy of removing central points of control. This approach stays true to the original vision of decentralized finance.
What stage is your project currently in (idea, prototype, MVP, production)?
Prototype: LLM with searching capability tested, moving to blockchain data
integration
What is your biggest growth milestone for the next six months?
A super low latency framework to translate data into insights, an MVP of a deployed research agent with a 24/7 alerting system for users.
How will success be measured at the end of this accelerator program?
We’re trying to onboard our first few clients and reach a certain MRR goal by the end of the accelerator program.
How does your project leverage Pocket Network’s infrastructure?
We use POKT’s decentralized RPC infrastructure for real-time data access across multiple chains, ensuring reliable and fast data retrieval for our AI analysis engine. We’re also preparing to use the upcoming Shannon upgrade for our low latency data retrieval, since this will be one of our competitive advantages.
What are your biggest technical challenges right now?
The biggest technical challenges we’re already addressing are the massive backlog that our RAG has to scan. I think we already have 50% of the work done but will need to automate the rest through either an external vendor or internal tooling.
What existing competitors or alternatives exist in your space?
I think the bigger companies like Paradigm, Messari, Graph Foundation, amongst others have a significant advantage to develop similar tools due to their huge reach. I also think we’ll see smaller and lean teams just like our project’s come up and serve the space for smaller niches first and then build a dominance ground up.
How does your project differentiate itself from competitors?
I think 50% of the advantage comes from my team that I have great confidence in executing our vision rapidly. We’re also building our model to learn from user interactions to provide increasingly relevant insights, focusing on actionable intelligence rather than raw data.
What kind of support or mentorship would be most valuable to your team?
We think that some support with technical integrations on the data side, some sessions on how to connect better with the community, sales in crypto.
How can the Pocket community support you?
I think we’ll do a pilot program within the POKT ecosystem and try to gain early feedback from data experts here. The POKT community could provide invaluable feedback on our architecture and help with beta testing.
If funding/manpower was a non factor, what features would you like to add to your
project?
We’d expand our AI capabilities to include predictive analytics across all major chains, implementing real-time anomaly detection for market manipulation and fraudulent activities. Also probably build advanced simulation tools that let traders test strategies against historical data across multiple chains simultaneously.
If your team had to be represented by a fictional character, who would it be and
why?
JARVIS from Iron Man. Like JARVIS, we’re building something that combines deep technical capability with practical intelligence – translating complex data into actionable insights through natural conversation. Just as JARVIS helps Tony navigate complex situations with real-time analysis and clear recommendations, we aim to be that same level of trusted advisor for blockchain traders and institutions
